Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino pleaded guilty

Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in a federal courtroom on Friday. Sorrentino and his brother Marc were scheduled to head to trial next month after rejecting a plea deal earlier this week. The 35-year-old "Situation" was accused of not paying all federal income tax owed on approximately $9 million earned between 2010 and 2012, while his brother was accused of helping him prepare a fraudulent tax return. Mike will be sentenced on April 25, but the judge said he could travel to Miami in the meantime to film a Jersey Shore reunion. "All of us are required by law to pay our fair share of taxes," U.S. attorney Craig Carpenito said in a statement. "Celebrity status does not provide a free pass from this obligation."
