Less than a day after it went on, a mask was stolen from one of the lion sculptures at the Art Institute of Chicago.

The masks--which bear the Chicago flag--went onto the two lions outside the Institute on Thursday morning ahead of a face mask order taking effect Friday morning.

A security guard saw two men get out of a black Chevy sedan about 11 p.m. Thursday night and cut the mask off. No arrests have been made, and the museum plans to get another mask as soon as possible.
